If I post a job ad, will I get hundreds of phone calls or emails from the helping hands?

No! When submitting a job ad on Honesticity, there are four great advantages to bear in mind. Firstly, it is free for you to place the job ad. Secondly, you can check out an applicant’s profile rating. Thirdly, your personal details (including your contact details) are not disclosed. You are free to pick and choose who you decide to contact. Fourthly, the details of all the helping hands who apply to your job ad will be stored in your personal login area and needn’t bombard your personal email inbox.

So how much does finding helping hands really cost me?

Advertising your job on Honesticity is completely free. All we ask is that you provide feedback on any Helping hands you find on Honesticity.

I want to contact the applicants I have received. What do I have to do?

You can either call them or email them to discuss things further. It's your choice.

How can I find people in different areas of the UK?

The service provided by Honesticity covers the whole of the UK. If you want to find people in different locations (for example Edinburgh and Cambridge), just submit two separate searches or job ads. These will be treated as two separate positions.

What if I want to employ two or more people from the results of my search?

Then you are free to do so

Can I apply for jobs in other postal code areas?

Yes. You can apply for jobs all over the UK. Just be sensible. You will need to be able to travel to that location in order to carry out the work or offer your services. When logged in, go to 'Job search' and put in the post code where you want to look for jobs, and then click on the tick on the right in order to apply for that job. Alternatively, you can go to 'Apply for a job' and then search for more jobs and apply directly from there.

What is the message field?

The message field is what the employers will see when they search for a Helping hand. For example, if you have registered as a babysitter, you can say briefly summarize any experience/qualifications you have as a babysitter or what qualities make you generally suitable for the role of babysitter. The employers will see this information each time you are selected as a candidate for a babysitter in your area.

How do I upgrade or downgrade my tariff?

Please login and go to Your account. Click on 'Change your account details' and then select the new tariff you want. You must also deselect your existing job category or categories and choose your new one(s) and stipulate your minimum hourly rate. Once you are happy with your selection, click on 'Change'.

How do I amend my job categories and minimum hourly rate without changing my tariff?

Please login and go to Your account. Click on 'Change your account details' and then 'Change your current job categories'. You can amend your choice of job categories once each month but you can amend the message field (that employers see when they search for a helping hand) and your minimum hourly rate more than once each month. Once you are happy with your changes, click on 'Change' to save them.

When I go to Your account and click on 'Change your account details', I see my job category selection but it shows the incorrect minimum hourly rates I chose. What can I do?

Don't worry, this automatically defaults to £4 each time. However, your minimum hourly rate is not affected. If you click on 'Change your current job categories' you can see the minimum hourly rate(s) you have selected.

When i registered on the free tariff I selected the incorrect job category and am unable to amend it. What can I do?

How do you process online payments at Honesticity?

Honesticity does not process or store your credit or debit card details or any other financial information. All payments made to Honesticity are processed by our chosen payment service provider, Nochex. The data is encrypted in transit using the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol. They use the highest commercially available encryption key length of 128-bits provided by Verisign.

I have posted a job ad. Can I amend the details of my job ad?

Yes. In ‘Manage your job ads’, click on ‘View your ads’. Click on the job ad you want to amend, then on the modify icon (it looks like a pencil). This will bring you to a page where you can make the changes.

How do I rate my helping hand on completion of a job or service?

Please rate your helping hand. It is beneficial for everyone, including the helping hand. In your personal login area, there is a link ‘Rate your helping hand’. This is where you can rate the helping hand from your job ad or your search.

How do we ensure that the profile ratings are not abused and that people do not try and give good ratings to friends?

You can only rate the services of helping hands on completion of the job or service. Each time you purchase the contact details, you can rate one helping hand. Like anything online, it’s difficult to guarantee anything 100%, but the rating system will be monitored and checked on a daily basis to ensure its integrity. If we have reason to suspect that there is abuse of someone’s profile rating, then we reserve the right to delete certain ratings.

I have not received any people in response to my job ad. Why?

There may be several reasons for this. Is your stipulated rate of pay too low? Do you live in a remote location? If you think you need to make your job offer more attractive (eg a negotiable or higher rate of pay), you can amend your job ad as per above.

I have posted a job ad. Where can I log in to see applicants for the position?

Once you are logged in go to ‘Manage your job ads’ and then ‘View your ads’. Click on the relevant job ad to see who has already applied to your job ad.

Can I temporarily deactivate my job ad?

Yes, In ‘Manage your job ads’, click on ‘View your ads’. Click on the job ad you want to deactivate, then on the deactivate icon (it’s a box with a cross in it).

How do I delete my job ad?

In ‘Manage your job ads’, click on ‘View your ads’. Click on the job ad you want to delete, then on the deactivate icon (it’s a box with a cross in it). The ad doesn’t actually get deleted, it goes into your ‘Ads archive’, just in case you change your mind and want to reactivate it. That will save you time inputting the details again.

Is it free to reactivate my job ad?

Yes. To reactivate a job ad, go to ‘Manage your job ads’, ‘Ads archive’, click on the job ad and then on the ‘activate’ icon.

How long will my job ad remain active?

You can stipulate the amount of time you want your job ad to remain active. You can keep it active up to a maximum of 31 days.

I am having problems viewing parts of the website. What is causing this?

Honesticity is optimized for viewing with Internet Explorer 5 and 6, 1024 x 768. If you are viewing the site using Mozilla Firefox as your browser, you may encounter several problems as a result of their software. Please use Internet Explorer for optimal use of the site.
